The Cutting Edge Sculpture gets approval from the Lord Mayor of Sheffield.
The Lord Mayor of Sheffield who attended the opening of Outo Kumpu's new Stainless Steel Service Centre in Sheffield on 30 March expressed her complete satisfaction to Trevor Money (Jordan's General Manager) with regard to the Cutting Edge Sculpture manufactured and installed by Jordan Manufacturing.
The Lord Mayor described the Cutting Edge as a wonderful blend of engineering and art and said that it was the "Gateway to Sheffield". She added that she and her colleagues were very proud of it.
Doug Campbell, Jordan's Contract Manager for the Cutting Edge project, who had met the Lord Mayor earlier in the month at the official opening of the sculpture was also commended by the Lord Mayor.
During the speeches at the Service Centre opening, the Sculpture was highlighted in connection with the steel for the sculpture, which was supplied by Outo Kumpu.
There is no doubt that this very significant Sculpture, thought to be the largest horizontal sculpture in Britain is an important project for Jordan as it occupy's such a prominent position in front of Sheffield’s Main Line Station.
